The Christmas Groove is an annual benefit concert that seeks to raise awareness and benefit those in need in Northeast Ohio.
In 2004, a group of friends and fellow musicians assembled for a common purpose: to create a family-friendly concert that would entertain and bless others during the Christmas season.
As popularity and support grew, the Christmas Groove team broadened the scope of the concert with the goal of supporting local charities. This effort resonated with the community, and what was once a single concert with a few musicians, is now a multi-show extravaganza that has become part of many families’ annual Christmas traditions.
If you’re just learning about the Groove for the first time, welcome. If you’ve supported us through the years, thank you. We are grateful for all our supporters, new and old.

The Christmas Groove has found a new home in a wonderful venue this year at the Avon Performing Arts Center!
You’ll find yourself singing along with familiar Christmas carols arranged in fresh and inspiring ways! Listen to excerpts here, and then download/stream all the albums on your favorite app.
Without the generosity of our sponsors, the Christmas Groove would not be possible.
Thank you.
Robb is one of the founding members of the Christmas Groove and he spends most of the show behind the drum set. When he wakes up each morning, he travels to the Cleveland Clinic to work in his robotics lab as a biomedical research engineer.
Joni is married to Robb and has also been a part of every Christmas Groove. As the Groove percussionist, Joni stays very busy playing multiple instruments in the shows. No doubt this is a carry-over from her day jobs of raising five kids and doing photography as a side gig.
Eric VanHorn started serving with the Christmas Groove at its inception in 2004. Besides playing bass and holding down the low end, he is responsible for managing the finances of the Christmas Groove as Treasurer. Eric’s 30+ years of retail banking experience equips him well in serving as treasurer.
Blaise is a realtor who handles both residential and commercial real estate in Northeast Ohio. He has absolutely no musical talent, but the Christmas Groove has become a part of his family’s tradition and he believes in its vision and purpose.
Some people know Jim as the Groove keyboard player who won't stop smiling. He is also retired from his former day gig as a worship & care pastor at Hope Church.
Sarah is a graphic designer and has experience working with non-profit organizations in administration, event planning, project management, design solutions, and branding. In addition, Groove guitar player, Brian, has the privilege of being married to her.
Bill’s mornings start really early with his job as the host of the WTAM 1100 morning show, but a little sleep deprivation never stops him. Since 2012, Bill has been actively engaged with the Groove and its mission.
Thank you for your support of the Christmas Groove and for donating to this year’s beneficiary, Love INC of Lorain County.
